For the past six years, Jill has been an integral part of the inpatient stem cell transplant unit. Throughout her journey, she has taken on various roles, including preceptor, charge nurse, and her current role as a Clinical Coordinator (CC). As a CC, Jill serves as a true advocate and leader for both her patients and her team. Her willingness to lend a helping hand, educate, and guide her fellow nurses showcases her dedication to fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

Jill’s impact goes beyond her responsibilities—she embodies empathy and compassion, both for her colleagues and the patients she serves. She consistently attends annual Congress events and local chapter meetings, seeking to expand her knowledge and expertise in the field. Her commitment to excellence is evident through her achievement of two certifications: an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and a Blood and Marrow Transplant Certified Nurse (BMTCN).

Jill’s passion for oncology nursing shines through in her commitment to quality improvement. Her involvement in projects such as “CAR-T Cell Associated Neurotoxicity Standardized Approach to Nursing Assessment” and “Developing and Implementing an Objective Needs-Based Acuity Tool for the Stem Cell Transplant/Hematology-Oncology Population” showcases her dedication to advancing patient care through evidence-based practices.

Jill’s leadership prowess extends beyond the realm of oncology nursing. Her pursuit of excellence led her to obtain a Master’s degree and a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) certification.
