Anthony Tiraboschi, MSN, RN, NPD-BC

For Anthony Tiraboschi, nursing is about helping people grow. Whether caring for patients in the emergency department or developing educational programs that strengthen nurses across an entire healthcare system, he has built his career around empowering others to reach their full potential. As a 2026 Illinois Nurses Foundation 40 Under 40 Awardee, Anthony continues to cultivate confidence, inspire lifelong learning, and prepare nurses to provide exceptional care.

Answering the Call to Teach

Anthony began his nursing career after graduating from Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria, Illinois, in 2010. He spent several years in the Emergency Department at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center, where he developed strong clinical skills while caring for patients in one of healthcare’s most demanding environments.

In 2016, Anthony earned his Master of Science in Nursing from American Sentinel University and transitioned into nursing education and professional development. What began as a career change quickly became a calling, opening new opportunities to mentor others and help nurses build the knowledge and confidence they need to succeed.

Helping Others Reach Their Potential

Today, Anthony serves as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist for OSF HealthCare, creating and delivering educational programs that support nurses throughout the organization. Through his involvement with organizations including the Emergency Nurses Association, the Association for Nursing Professional Development, and the American Nurses Association, he has expanded his impact by presenting at conferences and teaching courses such as Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Workplace Violence Prevention, and many others.

Anthony finds the greatest fulfillment in witnessing the moment when a learner gains confidence, when uncertainty gives way to understanding and new knowledge becomes meaningful practice. Those moments continue to inspire his passion for education and reinforce his belief that investing in nurses ultimately strengthens patient care.

Growing Leaders, One Lesson at a Time

One of Anthony’s proudest professional accomplishments was earning his Nursing Professional Development certification. The experience challenged him to deepen his expertise while reaffirming his belief that dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to learn can open doors to extraordinary opportunities.

Outside of nursing, Anthony enjoys gardening, where he finds the same satisfaction in nurturing growth that he experiences as an educator. Whether tending a garden, skiing, mountain biking, or mentoring future nurse leaders, he believes that meaningful growth takes patience, commitment, and the support of those around us. He remains deeply grateful to the mentors, colleagues, friends, and family whose encouragement has helped shape his journey and inspire the leader he is today.

The Illinois Nurses Foundation proudly recognizes Anthony Tiraboschi as a 2026 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader for his dedication to nursing education, professional development, mentorship, and lifelong learning. Through his passion for helping others grow, he continues to strengthen the nursing profession and inspire future generations of nurse leaders.
