Feby George, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, CCRN-CMC
For Feby George, nursing is about creating healthier communities through compassionate care, prevention, and leadership. Throughout her career, she has combined clinical expertise with a passion for public health, working to improve patient outcomes while expanding access to education and preventive care. As a 2026 Illinois Nurses Foundation 40 Under 40 Awardee, Feby continues to lead initiatives that strengthen the nursing profession and empower individuals to take charge of their health.
A Foundation Built on Service
Feby’s nursing journey began in India, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Manipal University in 2009. Driven by a desire to continue growing professionally and broaden her impact, she later earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from North Park University in Chicago.
Throughout her career, she has embraced opportunities to improve patient care across multiple specialties. Her work in cardiology included leading quality improvement initiatives focused on improving outcomes for patients with heart failure and cardiogenic shock. Today, in women’s health, she continues to combine evidence-based practice with a strong commitment to prevention and patient education.
Leading Through Prevention and Advocacy
Feby believes that some of healthcare’s greatest successes happen before illness develops. Her passion for disease prevention and health equity has led her to champion initiatives that educate communities and increase access to lifesaving preventive care.
She is currently leading efforts to expand awareness and increase uptake of the HPV vaccine as an important strategy for preventing cervical cancer. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, Feby is helping individuals make informed healthcare decisions while working to reduce preventable disease and improve long-term health outcomes.
Strengthening Nursing, Strengthening Communities
Beyond her clinical practice, Feby is deeply committed to advancing the nursing profession through leadership and collaboration. She serves as the APRN Co-Chair for the National Association of Indian Nurses of America (NAINA) and the APRN Chair for the Indian Nurses Association of Illinois, where she works to build partnerships that support nurses while improving the health of the communities they serve.
Looking toward the future, Feby remains dedicated to expanding preventive care, advancing public health initiatives, and strengthening the voice of nursing through advocacy and leadership. She believes that when nurses lead with knowledge, compassion, and collaboration, they create healthier futures for generations to come.
