Paige Oxley, BSN, RN-BC

For Paige Oxley, exceptional patient care begins by supporting the people who provide it. Throughout her nursing career, she has dedicated herself to empowering nurses, fostering collaboration, and creating environments where teams feel confident, heard, and equipped to succeed. As a 2026 Illinois Nurses Foundation 40 Under 40 Awardee, Paige continues to lead with authenticity, believing that when nurses are supported, patients and communities benefit as well.

Leading with a Purpose

Paige earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with a minor in Psychology, from Bradley University in 2011 and is currently pursuing her master’s degree at Illinois State University. Throughout her career, she has embraced a variety of leadership roles that have strengthened her passion for developing nurses and improving patient care.

Today, she serves as the Clinical Manager of the Float Pool and Nursing Supervisors at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. In this role, Paige helps teams navigate the ever-changing demands of healthcare while ensuring patients continue to receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Empowering Nurses to Lead

At the heart of Paige’s leadership philosophy is a commitment to creating a workplace where nurses feel supported, empowered, and encouraged to speak up. She believes that professional governance gives nurses a meaningful voice in shaping clinical practice, improving patient outcomes, and strengthening the profession as a whole.

As the Illinois Chair of Advocate Health’s Enterprise Nurse Leadership Council, Paige collaborates with nurse leaders across the organization to advance nursing practice and champion initiatives that elevate the nursing profession. She is passionate about helping nurses recognize the value of their perspectives and empowering them to become leaders within their own teams.

Building Strong Teams, Lasting Impact

Paige’s dedication to nursing leadership has been recognized throughout her career, including being named Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s Nurse of the Year in 2019. In 2024, she was also selected to attend The Academy’s Nurse Manager Lab, where she further developed her leadership skills while connecting with nurse leaders from across the country.

Outside of work, Paige and her husband, Richard, enjoy spending time with their two young children, Ollie and Lily, whose curiosity, laughter, and energy serve as a daily reminder of the importance of balancing professional purpose with family life. Whether mentoring nurses, strengthening healthcare teams, or leading organizational initiatives, Paige remains committed to creating a culture where nurses feel valued, supported, and inspired to provide exceptional care.
