INF 40 Under 40 Awardee: Eunbee Liu

For Eunbee Liu, nursing is more than a profession it’s a way to advance equity, elevate voices, and create systems that truly support families and communities. Her path began as a pediatric nurse, where she developed a passion for family centered care and relationship-based practice. Those early experiences revealed the profound impact of compassionate, inclusive care and set the tone for her career. Driven by this calling, Eunbee pursued doctoral training in Nursing Science and joined the faculty of the General Entry Master’s (GEM) program at Rush University, where she now teaches and mentors the next generation of nurses.
Elevating Underrepresented Voices
Eunbee’s passion extends beyond the classroom into community driven research and innovative approaches to representation in nursing. She is particularly interested in storytelling as a tool to elevate underrepresented voices, fostering empathy and change within healthcare and education. Her work is deeply informed by her personal experiences as a parent to a curious 3-year-old, with another child on the way in August. These perspectives fuel her commitment to creating inclusive systems that support resilience, caregiving, and family well-being.
Leading With Curiosity and Empathy
Whether she’s mentoring students, conducting research, or navigating parenthood, Eunbee approaches every aspect of her life with curiosity, empathy, and a belief in the transformative power of nursing.
The Illinois Nurses Foundation proudly celebrates Eunbee Liu as a 2025 40 Under 40 Emerging Nurse Leader for her dedication to advancing health equity, elevating diverse voices, and shaping the future of nursing education and research.
